A warm welcome to all the Amar Chitra Katha lovers. We feel happy and proud to bring you this blog specially dedicated to ACKs only.
These classic comics have been a wonderful source of knowledge about the rich cultural heritage of our country. We have enjoyed them as much as any other comic since childhood. So its an opportunity for all of us to once again embark on this journey to the glorious, beautiful and eventful past.
--------------------
The first comic I am going to bring is of one of the bravest son of Indian soil. I can hardly imagine any Indian who is not impressed by this royal bengal tiger. So happy reading, and please do not forget to convey your thoughts about the effort.
ACKs introduction:
Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose stands out as a restless and dynamic force in India's freedom movement during Gandhi's time. This was a time when people chose to follow his path of peaceful non-violent non-cooperation. Bengal voiced its protest militantly and Subhas Chandra Bose was a true son of Bengal. India was awakening to its national identity and Netaji marshalled foreign aid and sympathy for this cause. His plans met with several hurdles as he was pitted against circumstances beyond his control. His was a lost battle, perhaps even a lost life. But as events have proved, not a lost cause.
Netaji's last Order of the Day to the Indian National Army puts it eloquently: 'The future generations of Indians who will be born, not as slaves but as free men, because of your colossal sacrifice, will bless your names and proudly proclaim to the world that you - their forefathers -who fought and lost in the battle in Manipur, Assam and Burma have paved the way to ultimate success and glory."
His stirring victory slogan Jai Hind drew India into a united whole.

Best wishes & congrats on starting th e new blog!
Best Regards,

Fantastic Comic! Thanks so much for this one! I remember throughout my school years - the only leaders that were prominently featured were Gandhi, Nehru and their clan-members - I used to always feel that Bhagat Singh, S.C. Bose, VallabhBhai Patel, Bagha Jatin, Chandrasekhar Azad, Ashfaqalla etc were given short shift throughout school - so sad that happens!
Jai Hind!!! Fantastic Blog! Amar Chitra Katha was the best - I owe most of my mythology/Indian history knowledge to Uncle Pai! :)
ICC/CW/TPH... you guys are simply the best..
All the best and congrats for the new venture.. as always i ll be there to grab all the stuff that you put here.. he he..
BTW..i m pasting a mediafire link... some pics of Renkoji Temple in Tokyo,Japan..Netaji's remains and monument.....I was filled with joy by seeing Japanese people paying so much respect to Netaji there..

Thnx 4 starting a separate blog for ACKs!!
I have many ACKs & I've enjoyed them (specially the 60-part-Mahabhara series wid many lighters tales like Panchatantra,Jatak,Gopal Bhar etc as well....in short ACK was versatile ) !! Specially, the great art-work wid fab script make those tales more closer to heart!!
I forgot 2 mention on Netaji Subhas!!
He's truely a proud of India n of'cos Bengal!!
I love this tale very much like I do Bhagat Singh ....these two are one of those bravest souls of India!
Jai Hind!!!!
Congrats on the new blog, all of you!

Wonderful opening to this blog. Am eagerly waiting for more posts and ACKs on this...
This is simply overwhelming response, exceeding our own expectations. Many thanks to all of you for making the effort worthwhile. We'll try to continue in the same spirit.
Comic Crazy: A comment within first minute of opening. Incredible. Thanks.
Prabhat: Thanks. Beautiful words.
Frank Thanks. We hope to put more at a steady rate.
Masayo: Hope you are happy now. We are pleased to bring this.
Chatur Cheeta: Thanks for the wishes.
Work: Thanks.
Dholey: Thanks Abhijeet. You are one of the more eager ACK enthusiasts. Will love to bring more for you.
Sagar: You are right. ACKs are very much a part of our childhood memories. The good thing is they have kept the same covers for their titles throughout these years even if they are being published under different publishing banners e.g. diamond comics.
Ranjit: Thanks and welcome.
Ajay: We would also like to see ACKs from your treasure here. You possess an unmatched collection.
ICC: Thanks. I thought this is one comic, everyone will like. Congratulations to you also. It looks like we have a more serious job in hand. The reception has been fantastic.
Chandan: Thanks and welcome. I know you are an indrajal fanatic but hope you also enjoy these.
Bagadankalli: Thanks you. Expect more.
Amit: Thanks and welcome. We are also very happy.
Frank: Thanks for this welcome offer. We have some plans for this blog. Will explain in next post.
Bharat: Amazing enthusiasm. Thanks.
Col Worobu: Thank you. Hope you visit regularly here too. Most of your patrolmen are busy reading ACKs. Take care of JP.
Aditya: Correct. These others are not given their dues as much they deserve. Blame it on Party Politics.
DM: nice pictures and info. Yes, I have heard he is respected very much in that part of the world too.
Dara: Welcome. Selling 86 million copies of ACKs itselft is a statement of their popularity. They are fabulous. Netaji is a prime figure in Indian History. A proud for any Indian.
Achala: Thanks. You are welcome.
Grouchy: Welcome. My broadband is also giving trouble occasionally for last two weeks. I wished it to work correctly at 8 PM on 28th. Thankfully nothing went wrong.
Anonymous: Thanks. Most welcome.
CW: Thanks and congratulations to you too.
Comic Crazy: Thanks. Nice to know that you liked it.
